1986 Corvette Indy Concept Car
Back in 1986, Chevrolet built a revolutionary concept car as a way of showing future design direction for the Corvette. They started with a non-functional car made of clay and painted silver, and then followed it up with two working prototypes in red with assorted changes. Revell has a 1/25 scale plastic model kit to replicate the red cars, but it's far from accurate when it comes to the silver concept car.
Over the course of this project, we will actually build 3 models of that silver concept car. The first will be a museum quality piece based on the Revell kit. Our client also supplied a finished 1/25 scale model from another manufacturer that needs some repair work, along with a resin kit in 1/43 scale.
