Built from Danbury Mint's '70 Nova

Modeling the famous turbine car as it appeared in the film The Lively Set. Based on the 1/18 scale piece from Yat Ming.

CMC's 1954 Mercedes Benz W196 racers are expensive models, but our client wanted something even more exclusive. He really wanted the numbered cars that were sold in much smaller limited edition runs. So we drew up some accurate artwork and produced decals to dress up the standard diecast models. Changes like these can be done relatively quickly and inexpensively. Much better, don't you think ?

Updates to Danbury Mint's yellow screamer...

This one is built "box stock", meaning we're using only the parts that come in the kit. We painted all of the mechanical components in different shades of black and aluminum to establish some variety between the parts. The yellow body parts are not painted -- simply polished plastic per the customer's instructions, since the parts on the real bike were molded in yellow plastic. No paint was used in order to save any weight possible, so that's how we're doing the model.

This 1/18 scale diecast model from UT will be done up to match the client's full scale ride.

Danbury Mint recently came out with this unique phantom El Camino -- a body style that certainly could have been available in 1957. Yes, we know this is a limited edition piece, but hey -- no pain, no gain ! We've already heard from several people who want us to make changes to theirs too....

Reliving childhood memories ! Unfortunately, these old kits will never be available again, as the original tooling for the Dragon Wagon was converted into the Hangman car. We picked up two old built-ups, in various states of disrepair, and combine them with the chrome parts from the Hangman kit, and apply some aftermarket decals to make one good Dragon Wagon. Of course, this one will look 100 times better than the ones we built as a kid !

This 1/18 scale diecast model will be a tribute to the real pavement pounder, complete with eye-searing graphics....

Here's a quick conversion project, where we take the best of several 1/18 scale models and make one accurate piece to duplicate our client's real car.

This model was started by someone else, who did a nice job, but then trashed it for some reason. Bosco's Garage to the rescue !

No decent model of this car has ever been available in 1/24 scale -- the closest thing ever was this old Strombecker motorized car, which is a little larger than 1/24. It was very rough and needed a lot of work to turn it into an accurate replica. The build was topped off with some figures in period-correct threads to give the scene some life.

Our favorite '57 Chevy fan wants another car done. This time, it will be Danbury Mint's classic '57 coupe in black, outfitted with the twin Paxton supercharged engine from their new Corvette Canyon Racer. We'll also give the car a cowl induction hood, swap the wheels, fill the antenna holes in the rear quarters, and possibly change a few other small details. Too cool !

Our client asked us to change the wheels, add whitewalls, and change the color of the interior on Danbury Mint's '70 Cutlass to match the car they used to own......

We do small scale stuff too. This 1/87 scale model has as much detail as some larger models.

A model of this car is available as an aftermarket resin kit, which is combined with a Revell Hot Wheels Camaro from the Trans Am Series. We'll mount it to an oak base finished to look like a racing surface.

Danbury Mint has just reissued it's venerable '57 Chevy Pro Street car in a deep shade of metallic red. Our client thought it could use a few changes.

We transformed the look of this 1/18 scale hardtop from Highway 61 by adding a white roof. A small project that makes a big difference......

As much as he loves Danbury Mint's Boss 9 Pro Street '69 Mustang, our customer knew he'd love it even more if we lost the rear wing and added a more nostalgic hood scoop.
