Danbury Mint has just reissued it's venerable '57 Chevy Pro Street car in a deep shade of metallic red. Our client thought it could use a few changes.

DM's interior comes in a hideous shade of pink and gray. The whole thing will be redone in black with body color dash, rollbar, door panels, and seat inserts. We'll also add accessory gauges, relocate the tach, and change the steering wheel.

During handling, the glass in this model just popped right out. That's OK, there was some unsightly glue residue we wanted to clean up anyway. This shot also gives you a better view of that pink interior we're anxious to repaint.

After filling the holes in the dashboard, and cleaning up all of the mold lines and other imperfections, we applied a light coat of automotive primer. Boy, it felt good just to get rid of that horrid pinkish color !
