It only took a couple of hours to add a vinyl top, and swap the whitewalls for redlines on this inexpensive 1/18 scale diecast model by SunStar. This is one of those projects that proves you can have a unique model for your collection without spending a ton of cash.

We're often asked to make parts for other model builders. This one will be a hood from an old AMT Falcon kit with louvers and a smooth underside.

We repainted the wheels in a more sinister shade of dark gray. We also removed the annoying front license plate, filled the holes, and repainted the area.

XMod cars are 1/28 scale radio control cars that provide lots of fun in a compact space. The only down side is that they don't come in a lot of different colors. Here's one that we're repainting to resemble a client's full scale ride.
